Continuation of blog from yesterday... I finally calmed down enough to call my husband so he wouldn't think something seriously wrong had happened to me or the baby. Of course his first question was, "Did the dogs bite into the raccoon?! They could have rabies - you need to call the vet." LOL, I know he was just scared too but that didn't do much for calming me down. I had another round of crying once I got off the phone and then called my vet. Thankfully she told me they both had been up-to-date on their shots and should be fine. She said I was to watch for any vomiting or diarrhea and take them in if these symptoms occurred. Now going near them was a whole other story. I couldn't stomach it. I was so grossed out. It took me until right before I went to bed to be able to pet them and let them near me. But, getting myself all worked up over what I know is a situation I will soon laugh at because I reacted like a moron! was not worth it. I can't describe what it feels like to be that stressed when you're pregnant. When you come down from being so overstimulated anybody is going to feel exhausted - but it's surreal when there's another being inside of you. My belly hurt (probably slight contractions) from being so worked up. The baby has been moving like crazy and then all the sudden it's as if he's gone eerily still. The rest of the day he remained pretty quiet. I can't explain it but something about coming down from that stress was disturbing - I knew I needed to get my body in a better place. I took a shower to relax and calm down. Tomorrow I will share what I have found on pregnancy and stress.
